The Jamaica variant is an homage to King David’s mother culture, and the peoples of the Land We Love. The Black Green and Gold of the Jamaican flag fills the space of the logo with colors indicative of the proud black people that have come to call the lush, fertile lands of Jamaica our home; golden sunlight echoes this sentiment whilst hearkening back to the rich cultures of western Africa. The syncretism of these stories coalesces into the national motto of Jamaica: “Out of Many, One People”, shortened and printed behind the neck.

#RepJA - With a logo inspired by the Blue Mountains of Jamaica, fusing King David’s heritage and artistry. Designed by Lauren Jones, with whom King David studied at the Marchutz School of Fine Art, and adorned with stylized text and colors designed by Benji Rothenberg, with whom the artist studied at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania.
